OUR MISSIONThe mission of East Bay Music Foundation is to encourage the love of music among young musicians in the East Bay area. We hope to promote the joy of performance through providing opportunities for students to perform on stage. To achieve this goal we sponsor the following events annually - the East Bay Music Festival Piano Competition and the Chamber Music Festival.

ABOUT USThe East Bay Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization staffed solely by volunteers dedicated to supporting musical education, appreciation, and performance. Founded in 1976 as the Piedmont Music Foundation, the Foundation was originally formed in response to a need for performance opportunities for music students in the East Bay. Today, EBMF continues to provide performance events and venues for young musicians with the East Bay Music Festival solo piano competition, now in its 46th year and the East Bay Chamber Music Festival, now in its fourth year.
